Chingu Korea Fan Cafe, Bandung

I used to hear about “CHINGU CAFE” all the time, but too lazy to figure where it is. In this technology generation, everything is on the finger tips, while I am too lazy even to search it. Until one day , when the craving for Korean foods went uncontrolled. Soon, I found out it’s really near with ITB campus.

Before went there, I did some survey on this resto. Chingu CAfe, is a Korean Cafe which near with baltos. The Korean design of cafe which attracted lot people came by and have photo. The price is students range price , and its near too ITB. So I guess they set their customer target , mostly ITB students.

We picked at the wrong day to stop by this resto, Saturday. Not a kidding, but we need to queue for the seats since there were lot people. . The most suffering part , you can just look at people having their food with drum playing inside tummy “Tik-Tak-Tik Tak”,the time passed , finally we got our seats.

I barely divide the resto in to 4 section based on the design, front , left , right, middle and behind.

The front area, the front entry.

The left area, design based on the concept of GANGNAM TRAIN STATION. People was having meal in the train.

The right area, a big wall of painted with drama scene in “MY LOVE FROM STAR”. Some slots of plants and swing in the middle.

Middle area.Not so interesting.

The behind area, It is the large open area. This is the special area, for grilled and bbq. It look like a little Korea town inside a resto. With some Korean alphabets / words, and KOREAN MONEY CHANGER??

>>"Song Jong Ki" oppa poster on the wall.

We order Bibimbap (26 k rp), Spicy Sunduhu Jjique(30k rp), Spicy Kimchi Jjique (30k rp) and I forgot name of another one. The beverage and dessert also cute to have a try. The Sunduhu and Kinchi Jjique come with a bowl of rice. They simply listed  menu price all in the Korea money Won, but actually it was all in Indonesia rp.

# Day after that, I brought my Korean friend here, but he said the taste is not so similar with KOREA because it taste more spicy. The resto had modified spicy level according to the local Indonesian.

Mom’s Bakery, Bandung

Scrolling the internet food recommendation pages, most of the citizens strongly suggested MOM’s Bakery as one of the best place to have breakfast / brunch in the town. The location wasn’t far, around the area of PARIS VAN JAWA, right beside HUMMINGBIRD RESTO.

Personally I m more prefer Japanese food / Korea food, Western is just fine for me. Mom’s bakery is based on western concept sandwich idea, the customer can custom make their sandwich. They provided us pen and a paper with list of topping , filling , and bread, sauce. It is a good idea to let customer choose what they want in the dishes and what they don’t like. Their signature wheat bread makes solid base for wide range of sandwiches. Choose your bread baased, ciabatta, panini, wheat , black charcoal bread and ect. Then your meat, sauces and vegetables.

Lifted my head, the price wrote on the green broad with chalk, the price range about 50k rp – 80k rp . Affordable, but kind of pricey a little bit for just a sandwich, I’m really looking forward for how it will taste. In Tripadvisor, they managed to obtain most of the positive review and feedback from customer.

>>For me, I picked croissant, honey mustard sauce, roasted chicken, and vegetable exclude olive .

Here the sandwich is the main hero of the house. But, they did serve some side dished, soup and snacks. I heard now they even served pizza. For the dessert lover, they did served some desserts here,
cakes, macaroon and coffee.

A piece of sweet after the sandwich , will be a nice beginning of the day.

We took this opportunities to celebrate belated birthday of both birthday girls. I picked both of the
cakes recommended by the waitress , Domino cake and Red velvet cake.

The taste of sandwich well satisfying , but the cakes tasted so so. The cake not moist and a little bit dry for me. Meanwhile, I scrolled in the internet , most of the customers pretty satisfied with their cheesecake, maybe I can have a try next time.

Another things I like about the Mom’s bakery , the bread here very healthy and fresh, taste light for me. The atmosphere of the bakery concentrated with the aroma of hot freshly made breads out from the oven. I actually enjoy the smell and this environment. Most of the customers came for their bread.

The farmhouse , one piece of Europe land in Indonesia. My friend told me,it look like the scene in “Lord of Ring”. The Europe design of building and beautiful view, merge yourself in beautiful Europe country. As a botancy student , I need to admitted the plants here all under good care. Here they rent the Europe traditional custom with affordable price, "A group of friends in custom walk on this “Europe” land , bunch of sweet memory gained."

There are Hobbit house, small cute animal, rabbit , goat. The children allow to feed them and take photo, get themselves more closer with nature.A very good place for spending family hour here.
Also don’t worry about the food here, there are few cafes with Europe design for each of the building. There are also lot of souvenir shop selling variety of souvenir for tourist, like us. Actually there are more place inside, but its just too much for me to explain one by one.
If you are a selfie lover , every single corner just too perfect , to get hundreds of photo for this visit.

PASAR BARU , is one of the place crowded with peoples all the time, especially Malaysia tourists love here. Most of them come for the fabric, its cheap , variety and quality. Also most of Malaysian businessman get their fabric stock from here , get earn by selling it in higher price in Malaysia.

I brought my ticket back to Malaysia on December. Before back , I think of buying some, few, many little amount of fabric as sourvenier for my Malays friends. Last time I brought some “kain pasang ” as a gift for my Malay friend’s wedding. Unluckily , my mum spotted that and she like that so much, but its a gift for my friends.I promise I to find a better one, and prettier for her.

Here they sell all things, anything that you can think, handbag, shoes, blanket, kain pasang, kain jubbah, fabric, clothes, hijab, accessories, watch, jean, fruits, food, luggage, keychains…..and lot more. Basically you can get everything in Pasar baru. If you have time , good in bargain , I bet you can get very good price – very cheap. All the price here is negotiable , and the seller very aggressive in selling things.

This time , we spent more than 6 hours in Pasar baru, after morning class 9 am – 4 pm.
Walking ,bargain and spent most of time lost in the crowded human.
